The history of the Yoga Rocks space, before our occupancy, means many dedicated ashtangis across Europe and worldwide have honed their craft in Agios Pavlos. One of those is widely renowned teacher Kia Naddermier and we are thrilled that she is offering a retreat at Yoga Rocks for the first time.
Weaving ashtanga yoga with pranayama and Buddhist mindfulness practices, Kia creates a rich retreat with ample opportunity to explore all sides of your practice. Subtly building through meditation and breathing to the strong physical practice of ashtanga, imagine these magical yoga mornings as rising from a delicious quietness to an invigorating and challenging movement. A personal and unique visceral journey each day.
This is an ashtanga vinyasa retreat and though the schedule is only confirmed once the guests are with us, it is likely the week will start with a couple of led classes morphing into self-practice. Those new to self-practice will need to commit to learning the sequence and focus keenly on the first led classes so really only a retreat for enthusiastic and committed guests. Afternoons are dedicated to the philosophy and practice of traditional pranayama in the lineage of Kaivalyadham and much more. These mindfully crafted afternoon sessions allow each practitioner to develop transformative skills and embodied resources, growing their personal practice from a place of deep authenticity and clear understanding.
