Maria’s relaxed yet encouraging methods left everyone feeling supported and cared for as they worked through their traditional Mysore style practice each morning. The Ashtanga mornings were balanced by afternoons of pranayama, soft stretching or nothing at all and a couple of evening sessions of trataka, a candle staring meditation.
There was a cheery mid week boat trip to Preveli with entusiastic river swimming. Towards the end of the week it was super hot, after all that hard work in the shala everyone was happy to melt into their chairs in the taverna on Friday night, followed for some by a cooling evening dip under the stars. Even after two weeks some of the guests were trying to hide in the wardrobes but everyone did leave, satisfied and happy, with many promises to return.
